Surprisingly, Hob was willing to pay handsomely for Lindsey’s help in creating even more mutants. Following the destruction of Stockgen, Lindsey would find herself face-to-face with Old Hob once more when she was kidnapped by the villainous mutant. This, coupled with the dramatic physical transformations caused by the Mutagen, would lead to the creation of Splinter and the Turtles, as well as Old Hob himself. Lindsey developed the Psychotropic Compound that gave animal mutants their human intellect. RELATED: TMNT: Raphael’s Rage Nearly Killed a Classic Ninja Turtles Villainįirst appearing in 2011’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 by Kevin Eastman, Tom Waltz and Dan Duncan, Lindsey Baker worked alongside April O’Neil at Stockgen. Instead, Hob has important work to attend to elsewhere, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #122 by Kevin Eastman, Tom Waltz, Sophie Campbell, Jodi Nishijima, Ronda Pattison, Bobby Curnow, and Shawn Lee reveals that he has even got Baker waiting for him on the outside. This display of ferocity doesn’t stem from a desperate desire for freedom from his amphibian jailers. With some help from impressionable young mutants, Hob breaks out and slips away from the Turtles’ grasp, even taking the time to grievously injure Raphael on his way out. While the Turtles and their allies are busy redistributing the stockpiles of supplies that the Mutanimals hoarded to the people who need them, Old Hob has been quietly waiting for his next shot at escaping his current imprisonment. But as it turns out, the most imminent of those threats is a whole lot closer than they suspect, as Lindsey Baker has come back to help Old Hob make things worse than ever before.

The heroes know all too well that their peace is fragile, even if they don’t know exactly what outside threats they need to be worried about. In spite of how much this monumental achievement is worth celebrating, tensions are still running high for the Splinter Clan.

In doing so, they’ve won themselves their first chance to breathe easy for the first time in a very long time. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the other mutated citizens of Mutant Town have finally taken their home back from the near-lethal grasp of Old Hob and the Mutanimals.
